Supporting Pieces

As we have nearly finished our main documentary, we decided to start on our supporting pieces.
As a group we have decided to do an advertising pack, including a billboard poster, a bus stop poster and a magazine advert. We have also chosen our individual pieces, and I have decided to do a magazine interview.

Today we brainstormed some ideas for our advertising pack. We felt we needed something striking and eye catching, which would attract the public to watch our documentary.

As CCTV is a topic which effects everyone, we thought it was important to engage the public on a personal level through the posters. We did some research into bus stop advertising, and found out that there are now posters around which respond to people looking at them. We thought this could be interesting to use, as it makes them interactive.

Althought we liked this idea, we thought this might be a bit too complicated for our project, so we started to draw some drafts.

Interviewing

We asked the permission of the owner of a newsagents on Weybridge Highstreet to interview him about CCTV in his shop. We have prepared a list of questions that we want to ask him:

-Has CCTV proved useful in your shop?
-Do you personally feel safer with CCTV?
-How long have you had it installed?
